Backsplashes, fireplace surrounds, and small bathroom tile jobs. For homes and rentals in Vancouver, Battle Ground, Camas, and across Clark County.
Tile is all in the layout. Rows are planned from the center out, so the cut pieces at each end match instead of leaving a sliver on one side. Backsplashes, fireplace surrounds, and small bathroom jobs.

Planning tile & backsplash
Can you tile over my old backsplash?
Sometimes. If the old tile is flat and firmly bonded, new tile can go over it, but it adds thickness at outlets and where the backsplash meets the cabinets. Most of the time, taking the old tile off gives a cleaner result.
How long will my kitchen be out of use?
Not long. The tile is set first, then the thinset needs to cure before grout, so a backsplash is usually two visits. You can use the kitchen in between.
Should grout be sealed?
Standard cement grout is porous, so sealing it helps it resist stains, especially behind a stove or sink. Some newer grouts don't need it. Either way, it's worth knowing which one you have.
Can you fix cracked grout or old caulk?
Yes. Cracked grout is cut out and replaced, and old caulk along tubs, showers, and counters is stripped and redone.
Do you do bathroom tile?
Small bathroom jobs and repairs, like tub and shower tile repairs. For a bigger project, send photos and you'll get a straight answer on whether it's a fit.
How is tile work priced?
Grout and caulk repairs are billed as a $95 trip fee, then $75 an hour. Backsplashes and fireplace surrounds get a written quote after measuring, so you know the number before work starts.
When does tile damage need further investigation?
Loose tile, repeated grout cracking, damp backing, or a leaking shower needs evaluation before a surface repair is quoted. New grout or caulk does not repair a failed substrate or waterproofing system. Underlying damage, fireplace requirements, or electrical and plumbing changes may need specialist or licensed trade work before the tile scope proceeds.
